Seating Rules

TUESDAY Bridge:  Seated by 1.00pm, play starts at 1.15pm

THURSDAY Bridge:  Seated by 6.45pm, play starts at 7.00pm

WEDNESDAY Bridge:  Seated by 6.50pm, play starts at 7.00pm

FRIDAY BRIDGE: starts around Easter time.

Rules

CONDITIONS OF PLAY

Players should be seated 15 minutes before play is due to start.  Names must be entered accurately on the lists each week for next week’s play.  Those defaulting must advise convenor and partner.  Please have correct table money: $4 on Tuesdays and Thursdays, $2 on Wednesdays and Fridays.

CHAMPIONSHIPS:  Winner decided by 5 or 6 scores – all scores to count.

SUBSTITUTES:  One substitute is allowed in all events except the championships.  If the same member is used more than three times, neither player will be eligible for the points competition.

PARTNERSHIPS:   To be eligible you may only play with the same partner for one competition, one ladder, plus the championships.

INDIVIDUAL PAIRS: 4 or 5 scores will count, and each of the Tuesday sessions will have drawn partners.

POINTS COMPETITION: run on a 6-5-4-3-2-1 scale.

SEATING: Players must cut, and the winner sits North/South.  The only exceptions are the director, and for health/medical reasons.

CLUB SCORING:  Please check all scores.  

Any incorrect scores are to be referred back to both pairs.  No score may be altered without the consent of both pairs.
